TV Profile: THE CAST OF 'I'M A CELEBRITY ... GET ME OUT HERE' DISCUSS HOW THEY PLAN TO WIN IT ALL

The reality show stars go over game strats and the reasons they are really a celebrity

Every one of the cast members of the returning reality show believes they can win it. I guess going into a contestant where you are playing for charity you probably should have the right mind to win the contest, otherwise, why even compete and let someone else try and win some money for the right cause.

Yet, each of the so-called celebrities – from VH1’s funny comedic duo Frangela, to WWE former women’s wrestler Torrie Wilson, to former faux-hawk extraordinaire AMERICAN IDOL contestant, Sanjaya Malakar, to supermodel Janice Dickinson, to media whores Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag – thinks they have what it takes to be the top dog at the end of the run of the series.

The series was tried already one time with lackluster ratings – unlike the U.K.’s show of the same name that is highly popular – but with NBC’s apparent lack of programming during the summer, it figured it would give it another go.

For wrestler Torrie Wilson, she believes the key to winning the money for her charity will be with her athletic advantage. But she quips, “Talk to me after I've been starving for a week. I might change my mind on that. But I definitely think, depending on the challenge, that I have an advantage. And on top of that, I have to say if Janice gets out of hand, I have no doubt in my mind I will be tackling her and putting her in a sleeper hold.”

Janice Dickinson takes into her experience the fact she’s already been on international versions of the show both in the U.K. and in Australia. Plus, “Life is a Jungle,” she says. “I have children, and being in the fashion industry for the past 32 years … I practically won [U.K. version of CELEBRITY]. So I’m very exited about doing this show because it’s a marvelous experience and very enjoyable.”

Stephen Baldwin pretty much doesn’t need words to describe his confidence, he simply states he’ll be the winner at the end and to watch for it.

The question of being a celebrity to begin with is something I’m sure we’ll here for the duration of the show. Wilson says she thinks her celebrity comes from the fans of wrestling who know her from the eight years of doing the sport around the world.

“I can go to any country and instantly be recognized by thousands of wrestling fans, and I think the moment that I probably really realized that I had, you know, some sort of celebrity status would probably be when I first walked into an arena full of 15,000 people screaming my name,” she says.

Sanjaya thinks is fame came from AI but since that time people have continued to recognize him where ever he seems to go.

“The first time that I went to the Beverly Center and had the entire Redlands cheer squad scream and run and mob me,” he says. “That was pretty intense. That definitely made it all real for me.”

Momma from rolling my eyes, idaho sez....
My goodness Emerson, such horrible writing skills. Contestant should be 'contest'. WWE means "women" so no need to tell us again. And here should be HEAR. Sanjaya's fame is "his" not "is." And it's AL, not Al. Shame on you for publishing such juvenile mistakes. Mom
