i dont know whats on the script for a fact.but alot of the things ive read here are wrong.its not very difficult to get that even just by looking at a trailer.this is how i believe it will turn out. in the beginning pete tells aunt may hes going to ask mj to marry him and then harry steps in with the bit of footage that was shown on nbc.i think that fight with harry was decided that pete wouldnt be in costume because it would be more of a personal fight.with harry and peter head to head, its two best friends at each others throats.when peter takes him down hes afraid he killed him accidentally.so he takes him in to a hospital.things turn out alright for harry but hes still pretty peeved at peter.after that the sandman is introduced and peter goes off to pursue that villian, which i believe will be the main one in this film.somehow the symbiote will come into the picture.according to the original comics, it came from an asteroid in space.it got to earth with john jameson(i think it might kill him).then on a date with mj it fuses itself to peters shoe.when at home it fuses itself to peter.the whole schpiele with the black suit happens and then there will most likely be another peter harry fight.most likely in costume.then peter will take the suit to doc connors to check it out.connors will tell him that its really alive and dangerous.so pete goes to the bell tower at a church (that eddie brock is also at) to ring the bell to try and get the symbiote off him because of its weakness to high frequencies.peter is in the bell tower while eddie is downstairs praying that spiderman be killed.peter gets the symbiote off and it goes down to where brock is and fuses with him.i dont know how the end will turn out except that a giant battle between sandman, venom, spiderman, and harry ensues.only instead of being against peter in this battle, he will be fighting by his side.one way or another, throughout the course of the film, aunt may will be murdered.harry dies at the end as well.i do not know who he dies by.i do know that there will not be a set up for a fourth movie.there may be one in the future, but not for awhile. thats it.thanks.

I think that most people mis-judge the Marvel Universe. Since the beginning, there has been things that contradict each other in it. Many people believe that these things will lead to it's ultimate downfall. In 1993, Stan Lee realized this and created a seperate universe for Marvel called the Ultimat Universe. There, he took several heroes and villians and transformed them into their Ultimate counterparts. I think, however that there are several things that Stan himself has missed. First off, Stan Lee missed the opportunity to get into the boat with everyone else and make cookies for a living. It is a little known fact that Stan lee's parents both created the Cookie-Bookie, a popular cook-book for cookie and pastries. There are many beliefs that he would have been better off in the long run if he had did this, but I disagree. If Stan had left in order to make cookies, we'd have Spiderman cookies instead of comics. I think that Stan did his best and we, as a people, are better in the long run!

Personally, i believe since youve already got Sandman, Venom, and the second Green Goblin in the movie, (not to mention the love triangle between Peter, Mary Jane, and Gwen Stacy), putting anyone like The Lizard or Mysterio would be a foolish idea. Villains like that need more of a background, you cant just throw them in there like that. Now someone like Rhino, Shocker, or Vulture would be good, a common criminal with a little background history. Spiderman Begins? WTF?!! it was Batman Begins.. and yeah The Joker will be the villian in the BATMAN sequal. I don't know where the hell you got the idea of Two-Face being in Spidey 3 either. Thats just completly random.. and i'm sure he's DC anyway. It could be the Lizard, but I doubt it.. and I would be a bit disapointed. IMO 4 villains will be too much to cope with.. I think it'll be 2 main villains.. (Sandman and Harry as the Goblin) Venom.. yeah I could see it happening nearer to the end and leading on to the 4th film. Man-Wolf is also a possibility and would tie in with how the symboite came to land on Earth.. but again.. I could see these happening towards the end of the movie.. leading onto the next.

Sam Raimi is a personal freind of mine and he told me that 2-Face is gonna be the secret villian. he said that the lizard would be dumb and the joker wouldn't be scary enough. he aslo mentioned that 2-face (aka topher grace) would mirror peter parkers life. peter parker lives 2 lives, but he lives them on the inside. 2-Face has 2 lives that he wears prominately on the outside. You have to see the symbolism here! Sam also mentioned that we should be on the lookout for a cameo by Tommy Lee Jones! I cannot wait!

You ppl are way off for 1 thing if you know anything about Spiderman you would know that he can't be the fourth villian because when he fights himself they are talking about when the Venom took over his body. And Another thing about Venom is that when it took over Spiderman it didn't make him a bad guy it brought out his darkside and made him stronger and more ruthless but the longer he enjoyed the power it gave him (power enough to beat the other three villians) the more it took over so eventually he must seperate himself from it at which point it finds Eddie Brock. Spiderman combined with the Venom was an unstoppable force because of the fact that Spiderman already has super powers of his own to begin with. I agree with the person who predicted the Lizard as baddy number 4 he was in Spiderman 2 and he is the only one that hasn't been mentioned in the new movie, it would make sense because if he turns good again then he can help spiderman with the other foes

Right after Spiderman defeated Ra's Al Ghul, the dialogue follows: [last lines] Jim Gordon: And what about escalation? Peter Parker: Escalation? Jim Gordon: We get semi-automatics weapons, they get automatics. We get kevlar body armor, they get armor-piercing rounds. And you're wearing a mask. Take this guy... armed robbery, double homicide... has a taste for theatrics, like you... he leaves a calling card. Everyone is a freakin' dumbass, it's obvious that Venom is going to come at the end of movie, because in all the other Spider Man films they made it obvious that they were making sequels and first John Jamson has to go to space, get a moon rock, come back, it will be at a museum or something, and there will be a disturbance (possibly a villian), the villian will beat the crap out of him, the symbiote will somehow follow him, change is costume, after a while it will make him go crazy, he'll tear it off, it will then go to Eddie Brock, he starts to turn into Venom, BAM, there you go. Then Spider- Man 4. The fourth villian is obviously The Lizard, Mysterio will probably be in SM4, Man Wolf is more of a Moon Knight villian, and there will be no Sinister Six, Doc Ock died and Sand Man will probably turn good, you can't have the 6 without Ock. Don't believe all that other crap, I don't expect anyone to believe me. No one read the SM 3 script who didn't work on the movie, no one had tea and biscuits with Avi Arad, and no one chatted with Sam Raimi.Ignore everyone's bs stories.

I think that Cognoman's adaptation to the film is for the most part correct. With the exception that the Joker will be starring instead of Venom. In the end of the last movie, when Gordon is talking to Spiderman and he hands him a card with the joker on it, he says things are going to be different now. That's how we know that the joker is going to be the new villian in the movie. I have read a possibility on the world wide web that Aunt May turns into carnage after digging up Uncle Ben and sleeping with the corpse. It's (supposedly) a passionate scene but we'll have to wait and see because you know how Christopher Nolan can be. Anyway, that's my 2 cents!

Zack I agree that in this film that Venom will own Spiderman if they have an actual big fight which I don't think they will because I think it would be better to bait the audience into seeing a fourth film with Venom showing up near the third film's end. Also to explain my reasoning behind the Lizard, I think the movie will open with Spiderman fighting a villian to give the effect that it's not such a rare occurance for supervillians to be seen around New York anymore, and since this movie is supposed to have 4 villians I think it would seem strange to just have that many supervillians show up all at once when there hasn't been one since Doc Ock. If the film doesn't open with the fight I think it will happen very soon after the opening credits. If the Lizard were in the opening of the film and Spiderman reversed the change or something then Dr. Connors would be extremely grateful for his help and then when Spidey has questins about the strange symbiote suit he finds later in the movie it would tie in really nice for him to go see Dr. Connors, especially since Reed Richards isn't in the movies for Spidey to consult about the symbiote like in the original comic storyline. So really I don't think he has to have a reason to want to fight Spidey just because he's a supervillian, the Lizard could just be going on one of his rampages and Spiderman intervenes because people are in trouble. It's not like Spiderman needs to know who it is that he's saving he helps everyone because that's what heroes do.

What is wrong with you retards, are you all stoned? Carnage can't be in the third Spiderman because before you can have Carnage you have to have Venom. Venom would have to introduced and st up and established entirely on his own first. If Carnage was introduced it would have way to much stff crammed into the movie to introduce Venom and establish him and then, if they follow the comics, venom would have to be captured and Cletus Cassidy would have to be introduced to Eddie Brock while he is in prison. Then the symbiote would have to oduce the Carnage offspring and Carnage would be born. I hope they don't go this route because if four villians are supposed to appear, two others besides V & C for those keeping count, then this is just way to much stuff to fit into a 2 1/2 hour movie, because don't forget that Peter still has to deal with the symbiote himself first. I think it will be Venom for sure along with Sandman, Grenn Goblin 2 aka Harry Osbourne, and the Lizard. By the way, Zack from New York just because the Lizard is an experiment and not a technical "villian" doesn't mean he won't make an appearance, especially since Spidey will have questions about the symbiote he finds and who better to answer them then a gracious Dr. Kurt Connors willing to repay Spiderman for saving him from his darker Lizard half. Also, the Lizard was the villian in like the second or third issue of the original Spiderman comic and he has made several more appearances over the years, and he also has no real control over hmself in the Lizard form it's a whole different persona then Dr. Connors, so technically he is a villian so stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

Like everyone has said more than likely the first villian will open the movie and will be some spidey easily dispatches of, probably a less powerful one. If its the Lizard it would work well for the movies story line in that spidey finds a way to save Connors from himself as the Lizard and later out of gratitude Connors helps spidey when Spidey comes to him for help because he's had the Symbiote attach itself to him. But say the Lizard starts the movie, from there it shifts to Jamesons son crashing on the way back to earth from the moon while investigating the symbiote attaches itself to peter. At the same time Sandman becomes sandman. But Mary Jane goes to see Jamesons son in the hospital which makes peter angry now that hes become cocky because of the symbiote. That leads to friction between peter and mj and opens the door for gwen to come in. Peter meets gwens father while taking pictures on assignment for the bugel. There he's introduced to Gwen. Gwen and Peter start to fall for each other thats when u first see Harry come in as the Green Goblin he attacks peter but gets beaten but in the process gwens father is killed. Peter reveals his identity to Gwens father as hes dying, he makes him promise to look after his daughter. After Sandman is introduced probably in a bank heist or something similar to Doc Oct in Spidey 2. Spiderman defeats him easily which leads Harry to propose he and Sandman take spidey on together. At the this time Jameson hires Eddie Brock to follow peter and take pics of him and spiderman in doing this eddie discovers spideys identity. At this point Mj and Peter are broken up but Harry knowing Peter loves MJ and after observing Peter with Gwen hatches a plan and he and Sandman Kidnap both Gwen and MJ When Peter confronts them they have him chose which one lives or dies, they drop both Spidey first shoots webing that catches Gwen safely (or so he thinks) and then grabs a hold of Mj in the last seconds and saves both girls. When he goes to get Gwen he sees that she snapped her neck in the fall. This makes him go crazy and just starts to about kill both Sandman and Green Goblin when the battle moves to maybe near a church where the bells ringing make Sandmand momentarily dispurse and makes the symbiote detach itself from Peter so now he's just regular spiderman. The weakend spiderman almost gets killed that when Harry decides to switch sides and ends up helping peter destroy Sandman. Shortly after this the Symbiote then attaches itself to Eddie who by this time Peter had gotten him fired from the bugel for publishing fake photos or something. In the last few minutes Venom shows up ends up killing Harry before Peters eyes then runs away. Which leaves Peter and MJ distraut and we end on the funerals of Gwen and Harry. MJ telling Peter he has to continue as Spiderman but that she can't be with Peter anymore. This leaves the door open for the next film being about Venom and maybe Carnage as the main villians. Seeing as Kirsten Dunst says this is the her final appearance it also opens the door for Shadow Cat as Spidey's new love interest. I'm also guessing the Felicia Hardy will be introduced in passing in Spiderman 3.

Someone help me out. Just supposing for a second that any two of the villains appear at the same time in a unified effort to take down Spidey, how would Spidey win?? I'm not much of a comic book junkie, so I honestly don't know... but to have four villains dispersed throughout the movie (as some here are suggesting) - with their powers never collectively mounted against Spidey - seems would be a travesty in every sense. Why waste their characters that way?? I think the strongest plot line is to have Spidey take down three at the same time, leaving one for Spider-Man 4. And I've never known Raimi to be a habitual liar - if the man's saying there's going to be 4 villains, there's going to be 4 villains.

Alright. They've changed some things in the the story from the comic lines, so they may do it again. But in House of M, spidermans web is organic too. About the villians? www.wikipedia.com The Hobgoblin has been 2 people. Roderick Kingsley Jason Philip Macendale Jr. Norman and Harry were the Green Goblins. Hence, the green tie at the wedding in the last film. Given what has been said, shown, and reported about this movie, it is easy to deduce a few things. With photos of Topher Grace holding a camera in his black leather jacket, it's safe to assume that he is Brock. It's been stated that Venom will be in the last 10 minutes, I beleive that. Given Harry's wedding scene at the end of the last movie, I beleive he will be taking up the mantle of The Second Green Goblin to avenge the death of his father. We have also seen pictures of Church in the trademark sweater. I beleive that we will see an opening battle with one of the villians (probably sandman) followed by developement of a new villian (probably The Lizard or the hobgoblin) during which, Parker will be battling Harry. This leaves an opening for the death of Gwen Stacy, although it would be Harry, not norman that pushes her off the ledge. Then they could tie the movie up with the creation of Venom. Just a guess.

Here's the way i think it will go, and i've spent a lot of time mulling this over so hopefully it's right. I think the movie will start out with Spidey facing a villian right off the bat, maybe The Lizard, seeing as how Doc Connors was introduced in the last film. After he's defeated JJ's son will be in a shuttle crash or something that will bring the symbiote back with him from space. Harry will take on a Goblin persona hob- or green doesn't matter to me while at the same time Sandman will come into the story. Finding it difficult to deal with both villians Peter will at first welcome the symbiote until it begins to ruin his life, but he will have no power to get rid of it by that time. In his final showdown with Sandman some sort of sonic sound device will be used which will destroy or at least damage Sandman and the symbiote will detatch from Spidey because it's one weakness has always been sonic sound waves, and in an attempt to find a host it will stumble upon Eddie Brock. Spidey will then realize that he doesn't need the symbiote to fight evil he only needs himself and he will then, if he hasn't already, destroy Sandman. Then after the final showdown which I'm sure the Harry goblin would have been involved in too, Venom will make his appearance with the white spider on his chest which "is being saved for something special" according to Avi Arad. It's possible since James Franco (Harry osborn) is not signed on for a fourth will be killed by Venom in the end in front of Spidey. I think it would be a really awesome way to lead into a fourth film, having Spidey watch as one of his best friends turned villian is killed and can't be salvaged as a person. Especially if the person killing his now unsaveable friend is Spidey's greatest enemy from the comics, the cartoon, and now the movies. I know this is all speculation but going off the main rumors i've read on-line this seems to be a pretty good way to fit four villians into the movie without cramming them in, and also would in my mind an awesome climactic ending with a shocking death of a regular character and at the same time the introduction of at least one of the fourth films villians, hopefully it's main one.

We've seen pictures of Sandman so we know he's in this. There is the black suit, but no pictures of Venom, and Topher Grace has said he'll be playing Eddie Brock, so no Electro. Harry is a likely candidate for a Goblin, but we arent sure which yet. While the Venom suit is an interesting concept, it was very poorly executed. Venom's only really good arch was his debut, and after that he's just been a cheap doppleganger plot-device. Carnage honest to God sucks as a villain, and I hope they never use him. There's only so much you can do with a homocidal maniac in a symbiote. At this point everything is rumors, and something to consider is that only one superhero movie has had more than 2 villains before, and that was Batman & Robin. If there are truely 4 villains in the classic sence I do not hold much faith in this movie.

If you think about it like a production company would, they would first try and make the most money they could. GG and Dr. Ock are statistically, along with Venom, the most popular spidey villains. SO it stands to reason, supported by the black suit image, that VEnom will appear. So that's Sandman and Venom for sure. Then they have to round up Harry's story so he will become a Goblin (I hope the Green Goblin) and may firts be a villain but then die helping Spidey at the end of the film. He has to die really as he's not contracted for anymore and it would be a fitting movie end to Harry. The idea of a fourth villain worries me as they're putting that in along with the whole Spidey's becoming cocky about his powers thing and the Gwen Stacy 'love triangle'. They seem to be cramming too much in, they said X3 would have the Danger Room, Sentinels, Beast, Angel, Juggernaut, the Morlocks and all these other wonderful things and I was worried about that being too much for one film, and look how that one turned out. If a fourth villain were put in, I like the James Bond-style idea and having him fighting a lesser villain at the beginning. I heard something on the net about Bruce Campbell playing Quentin Beck (not necessarily Mysterio) that was removed by Sony's request. I'd love to see Mysterio as he is my favourite along with Venom. They won't do Man-Wolf so don't even consider it, and as for The Lizard, just because Raimi thought it'd be a nice touch to add Connors in SM2 doesn't mean they're 'setting up' for a villain; it's just for the fans. What 'setting up' was there? Also I think you might be interested to note that on ImDb it states that Rosemary Harris will be Aunt May/Carnage! SAY IT ISN'T SO! This is probably someone mucking about with their ImDb account though, on't think Raimi'd be that stupid. Carnage would be cool but i very much doubt he'll be in it, or if he is it'd only be as Venom's last attempt to survive by reproducing. Also I'm wondering how they'll do the Venom origin and how they'll make they symbiote (if it's used) believably just make Spideys costume black but completely alter Eddie Brock. (Maybe they'll make it merge wth Eddies skin and say it only got to Spideys clothes) I really want Venom to have the mouth and tongue, a really good voice similar to in the cartoon and I want him to refer to himself only as "we", "us" and "Venom".

I read on an update on comingsoon.net that this guy talked to raimi and raimi confirmed that Venom is only in the last 10 min (shit!) but the white spider is on his suit. that would be sweet...but i'm wondering if they are going to change the origin of venom/carnage...do you really think it would be an alien costume? i don't think serious fans would like that...they will probably muck it all up like they did with spiderman being genetically altered (heck he doesn't even make the webbing...it's organic!). they changed so much of the story, it's not true to the comics anymore...like making doc ock being a hero at the end of sm2...that was just stupid...hopefully they don't screw up #3!!

Do you honestly see them showing JJ's son come back from the moon an turn into man wolf is a possibility? People who don't follow the comic would that "this is so dumb". Peter definately starts turning a little bad...it was said in an interview that in the second movie everyone wanted him to put on the suit while in the third everyone will want him to remove it. Peter develops an issue with controlling his power. I feel the first villain will set up the beginning of the movie with a big fight. It'll be like walking into the end battle sequence of a film. The story will follow two main villain characters. With the introduction of Gwen Stacy, it only means that Peter wil start looking "outside" of his commitments - in line with his new cocky attitude. Perhaps teh growing distance between Peter and Mary will be the instigating factor that brings JJ's son or Eddie into teh picture...Mary Jane needs a confidant (and can no longer turn to Harry).

For the record Harry Osborn is NOT the Hob-Goblin. He is a totally different person. Hobs alter ego was inspired by the Green Goblin, but he has no relations to Harry or Norman Osborn. Harry becomes the Green Goblin out of anger and confusion over his father's death, of which later leads to his own untimely death. Both the Lizard and Man-Wolf's personas were introduced in S-M2. It would be nice to see either of them. Spidey's knows both of them, and it would be a cool plot to have Venom trying to kill them, and Spidey trying to save them and stop them from themselves, all the while battling Venom...

I think that Avi Arad is setting up a part 4, by saying that their is 4 villians in part 3. How in the world can you stuff 4 villians in a 2 to 2 1/2 film. There is no possible way. Venom should and most likely will be in part 4. With all these villians in the film isn't Sony Pictures and Marvel concerned at all that this one might bomb. Please do it right. Give it justice. There is a strong possibility that there can be at least 6 to 10 movies involving Spidey. Just like for X-men, Part 4 is coming. I am not fooled by what is being said.

Has anyone been reading and listening to any of the facts?Venoms gonna be in it but they have no one casted for Cletus Kassidy so its not Carnage.Too soon.A small role in one movie is a bigger one in the next.IE Collosus in X2 and X3,Ice man in X1 and X2.So obviously it is the lizard.Doc Connors will have a bigger role in this one.By the way in amazing spiderman he gets the Venom suit from battle planet and comes back with it.In the cartoon its brought back from the moon because it would be too long to add the secret wars to the cartoon series. In Ultimate its a suit designed by peter and Eddie Brocks dads.I would have too say it would be plotted after the cartoon since Jamesons son is an astronaut in the second and Eddie Brock is a reporter in the third.

Dude always was pretty brilliant in mimicking technology and appearance. And whoever said something about IMDB saying lizard is in it... IMDB follows rumor and knowledge of the comics. They knew connors was in it and connors is the lizard, so they just made the assumption.

It might be showing my age a bit, but everyone knows that the real story on Venom is that Spidey got his alien costume during the Secret Wars (the first one)... and there's no way they're playing out that whole story. That being said, we can see that they don't have to stick to any particular part of the mythology to tell the story of Venom, or any other villain. My money's on Lizard as the fourth - Green Goblin is the "Hobgoblin" considering Norman is dead and Harry's ithcing to take his place. If Lizard's listed on IMDB, and after Doc Connors made an appearance in number 2, that'd be the way to go.
