THE SKINNY: Expect a SOUTH PARK – 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY DVD to arrive on shelves in the fall with creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone picking their ten favorite episodes.

The creators revealed the news at the Television Critics Association yesterday in Pasadena.

"It was really hard to choose the ten, but it was interesting because our ten favorite episodes all came from the last four seasons probably, says Stone.

Adds Parker: "Having done the show for ten years too, and because we’ve done it all ourselves, we now look back at what we did in Season 1, 2, and 3 and we’re like, ‘Oh, man, we thought that was funny?’ We’ve definitely learned how to write as the show has gone along. So all our favorite stuff – which I think is actually good, is the latest stuff and they’re all on that tenth anniversary [disc]."

Although the duo’s last feature film was the puppet movie TEAM AMERICA: WORLD POLICE, they’ve been resisting doing another SOUTH PARK feature film because of the "stress."

"We have no plans to do a movie," says Stone. "If we came up with a really good idea, maybe we’d do it. But I don’t know. We just don’t want to. What would happen if we said yes, ‘Oh, we’re going to do a movie,’ it would be announced and everyone would ask us, ‘Where’s the movie?’ and then we’d get all stressed out, and we don’t want to get stressed out."

For Parker, he reveals that he prefers TV to movies anyway.

"Especially in the comedy world, where something is funny and then a year and a half later, you’re still working on that idea and you’re like, ‘This is so not funny,’" says Parker.

Stone adds: "By the time you’re shooting a movie or editing a movie, you’ve lived with a joke for two years. And we live with jokes for one week, and we’re already bored with them. So the creative turnaround in TV is where we’re most comfortable."
