THE SKINNY: The latest installment of DIE HARD, titled LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD, will, of course, feature Bruce Willis reprising his role of John McClane, as well as two actors just signed to their roles, Justin Long and Asian actress Maggie Q.

The latest version of the DIE HARD series – the fourth – finds McClane trying to get to the bottom of a plot to disable America’s hard drives via an attack on the country’s computer infrastructure.

Long, who starred in this summer’s ACCEPTED, and who portrays a Mac in Apple Computer’s popular TV commercials, will play an ally of McClane; Maggie Q, part of the MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE III spy team, will play a hacker extraordinaire at odds with the Willis character.

The 20th Century Fox project, directed by UNDERWORLD’S Len Wiseman, begins production this month. John McTiernan, the original DIE HARD director (and director of the third film in the franchise DIE HARD WITH A VENGEANCE) will serve as producer.
