Jared Leto and Jason Bher equal big bucks. I love em and I can't wait to see them in this epic movie. It's great already. Joss Whedon is the best and I know he can direct so make a great film.

They already have a new LOTR -- see December release The Golden Compass based on the His Dark Materials series. But this looks exciting, except for the part where Jared Leto is in talks to co-star -- barf -- and except for the whole 12:1 ratio of male to female "main" characters. They could do better than that.

If Reynaldo Gianecchini and Jared Leto are appearing, and it is for real, it should be a very good film. I can't wait to 'finally' see Reynaldo do some work here in America. Add actress Tais Araujo ('Xica' and 'Da Cor Do Pecado') to the mix and this wil be a film worth watching.

Ho, f**king hum. The 'idea' (term used loosely) is about as original as every other try at X is a reincarnated ancient god. There can only have been been about a million tries at doing this. This is boyband moviemaking. The genius executives at newline couldn't manage to keep their actual talent on board so we get this kind of garbage in stead.

I totally agree! I *loved* what he did with V for Vendetta -- haven't been swept away by a movie that way in ages -- and he's wonderful with developing someone's ideas and making them materialize. I'm keeping my fingers crossed it's him! Joss Whedon to write (Marvin's right -- if Joss W does the script, there will definitely be women in it) and James McTeigue to direct!

Joss Whedon and Alejandro Amenabar are probably the most talented, but should really be focusing on writing/directing their OWN material. Takashi Shimizu will be making sequels to Ju-on and then remaking them in America until the end of time. So that leaves James McTigue who proved EXCELLENT with taking somebody else's vision and giving it life. So let's please go with him :)
