Breaking News: '24' - SEASON 7 POSTPONED BECAUSE OF WRITER'S STRIKE

Fox revises its Spring schedule to accommodate the impact of the Strike which means Jack Bauer's latest adventure will air non-stop when things are resolved.

THE SKINNY: It looks like Jack Bauer can come face to face with the most vile terrorists, scum and villainy including a corrupt president and the Chinese government, but the one thing that can break the man down is the Writer’s Guild Strike in Hollywood.

The popular Fox series starring Kiefer Sutherland as the virtually indescrubtable one-man kicking-ass-and-taking-no-names machine has hit a snag because of the strike putting the Seventh Season of the series on hold for awhile.

According to Fox, it’s been postponed “to ensure DAY 7 provides non-stop action.”

What that means, when it will be on, how and why, is all a mystery especially if the strike bungles along for several months and torpedoes most of the Spring schedule. Chances are, at least a third of the season has already been filmed, with the possibility that enough scripts are completed for half the season (this is assuming it’s following the pattern of other shows that have halted production with a similar production schedule).

Still, the new Fox schedule seems pretty set in stone for the time being, so hopefully the strike will be resolved so the new season of 24 can finish up properly and “in its entirety.”

So far, TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES will premiere on Sunday, January 13 and Monday, January 14. On Monday’s it will take over 24’s normal time slot at 9:00 p.m. with PRISON BREAK returning January 14 at 8:00 p.m.

Meanwhile, BONES will move over to Friday’s starting January 4 at 8:00 p.m. followed by encores (aka repeats) of HOUSE at 9:00 p.m.

The new drama NEW AMSTERDAM about an immortal cop living in New York, which was pushed from Fall, moved to Spring, then put on hold and now is back on the schedule again will make its debut on Friday, February 22 at 9:00 p.m.
