THE SKINNY: Roman Polanski is rounding up quite the cast for his upcoming THE GHOST.
LEVERAGE star Timothy Hutton is the latest to join an ensemble that includes Ewan McGregor, Pierce Brosnan, Tom Wilkinson, James Belushi, and Kim Cattrall.
Adaptated from Robert Harris' book, the film follows a ghostwriter (McGregor) who is hired to complete the memoirs of a former British prime minister (Brosnan). As secrets are uncovered, the writer's life is put in jeopardy. Hutton plays the prime minister's lawyer.
Polanski, Robert Benmussa, Alain Sarde, and Patrick Wachsberger are producing.
Hutton will also be appearing in LYMELIFE, BRIEF INTERVIEWS WITH HIDEOUS MEN, and THE KILLING ROOM.
