Crazy news from a very crazy first day of April

THE SKINNY: We couldn’t help but report on some crazy happenings in the news today on this first day of April.
First up, apparently the new TWILIGHT sequel NEW MOON was shooting with digital HD cameras and the hard drives and all their back-ups were wiped out by a nasty little virus. Now the studio has announced they will be reshooting all the footage with … you got it, brand new actors.
With Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattison scheduled for other films, the studio decided to hire TV actors to fill in their shoes. 90210 actress Jessica Stroup will take on the brooding Bella while HEROES star Milo Ventimiglia will take on Edward.
This is bound to piss of TWILIGHT fans, but I guess financially it makes sense.
Meanwhile, NBC has committed to bringing back HEROES for next season, but because the show costs so much, the show will pare back to a new title, HERO, and focus on only one of the characters. Expect a bloodbath at the end of the season.
STAR TREK fans were excited to hear Paramount giving the go ahead for a script for a second film, even though the first one hasn’t been released. Now rumor has it Kahn will make an appearance and he will be played by Horatio Sanz of SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE fame. Yikes.
And finally, NBC, seeing the value in streaming Jay Leno five nights a week in the fall, will give up their 9:00 pm slot five nights a week to a new self-help show, ala Dr. Phil, featuring AMERICAN IDOL star Clay Aiken. Sounds, well, pretty crazy.
Which of course is what all this news sounds like, because, well ….

OMG!!u guys totally scared me when you said there was going to be new actors. I amost cried,seriously!Thank goodness it was only a joke. You guys almost cost me my life!!I felt like dieing when i heard that!!What a relief it`s not true.

believe it or not, i knew it was a joke since i read the headings. it was too crazy to be true, and i was aware of april's fool day since i woke up.Last year some people caught me off guard. But I wish it was true what it said about Clay, but in a different type of show, where he could sing every time.

Hmmmm..think Clay would be much, much better suited to a two hour variety show....first, he entertains for 1 hour and fifty minutes and, then, a guest for the next ten. Sounds just about right. He is so talented and so funny, he wouldn't need any other guests...oh, and did I mention how sexy he is ????

Awwwwww, I should not have believed you for one iota of a second but I did and didn't catch on until I had to scroll. Cruel joke. A lot of people would be really amazed if they saw Clay in any type of a talk show. He is very smart, witty and funny without being cruel. I dread the day O'Brien takes over Leno's spot.
