Breaking News: FOX OFFICIALLY RENEWS 'FRINGE' FOR SEASON 2

One of the few break-out hits this year, the show is becoming Fox's first break-out sci-fi hit since THE X-FILES

THE SKINNY: This is the kind of news we like to hear when we wake up in the morning - Fox's science-fiction hit FRINGE has been given an official greenlight for Season Two.

“FRINGE proved to be a notable addition to our schedule all season and it really has fans buzzing as it builds to a fantastic season finale,” says Kevin Reilly, President, Entertainment for Fox Broadcasting Company.. “J.J. and the whole Bad Robot team have been phenomenal partners, and we look forward to years of making great television with them.”

As for J.J. Abrams, co-creator and executive producer of the show (and director of this Friday's theatrical reboot of STAR TREK adds, "FRINGE continues to gain momentum, creatively and with viewers. We couldn’t be more thrilled that FRINGE will continue to freak people out for at least another season!”
